Our Tuff Thrust bearing kit consists of a special type of plastic (not Nylon or Teflon) and a 316 stainless center piece. This system has been tested for over two years and found to be the answer to ridding your steering system of the plain carbon steel thrust bearing which rusts and disintegrates with any water intrusion.

- No Rust - Special Poly-composite and 316 Stainless materials means no more rusted, grinding steering. Salt water tested and approved.
- No metal-to-metal contact. This eliminates wear and neutralizes the effects of galvanic corrosion caused by dissimilar metals in a marine environment.
- Smooth - Consistent steering pressure and "feel" because the components do not rust and keep their lubricity regardless of water intrusion.
- Long wear - Our testing has been ongoing for two years with no need to replace the Tuff-thrust washers yet. O-ring life is also greatly increased due to more consistent pressure on the turn plate.
